Sharpie pens and various markers, scanned and manipulated in Photoshop CS.
a silly, quick little poster to advertise Art Official (our university's "art club" if you will) and its meetings. AO was born as a reincarnation of ArtsUNI, the former art organization on campus....and I guess I am a charter member! hey hey!
This is one of my favorite methods of poster-making...or any sort of would-be-digital print:
I draw my design in ink, in whichever style suits the purpose of the project (often loose and wild like this), and I scan and make some adjustments in Photoshop or other programs.
I like goofy letterforms and squishing them in fun (or uncomfortable-looking) arrangements.....hehe.
this is effective especially for campus groups, who must make several copies of such posters...it looks great printed on colored paper; OR, to save money, printed/photocopied on white paper and colored with markers! that way, no two posters are alike!
