18" x 24"; mixed media, 2002

I've moved this to the Fan Art section, since it seems more appropriate, but I had to choose between calling it a drawing or a painting...um, it's more of a mixed media collage, but whatevs.
I used to cut pictures from the TV Guide...ones promoting upcoming X-Files episodes, or ones contained within articles pertaining to the show. I had a whole folder full of them. I didn't know what I'd do with them...until this project came along.
This mosaic was compiled using tagboard tiles. I applied magazine ads containing large areas of color to the tagboard, and cut tiny little tiles about 5 - 7 mm square. I collaged the old TVG clippings as best I could to make the frame.
yes, something is definitely wonky with Scully's right eye.
